McKINNEY SAYS HE IS THINKING ABOUT IT!

CONSIDERING A RUN FOR CONGRESS
Although now is not the time to think about future political endeavors, I did get State Senator John McKinney to admit today during the taping of “The Real Story” that he is indeed considering running for his late father’s former seat in Congress. Stewart McKinney was the Fourth District Congressman up until his death in 1987. Chris Shays ran for the seat after his death and won in a special election. Shays held that seat for 21 years until just relecently losing it to Democratic newcomer Congressman- elect Jim Himes. You know what they say, all freshmen Congressman are vulnerable in their first bid for re-election if Himes does run for re-election in 2010. Now would be the time for Sen. McKINNEY to throw his hat into the national political landscape. But again, he just told me that he is looking into it. Indeed, a first step!
